Dustxdevil is doing a 36h marathon, he is trying to raise some money for Child's Play Charity. I don't really know what games he will be playing but he is playing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots right now.

    PLA is the most common and cheapest, and I'd recommend that to start with as a beginner if you jump into our rabbit hole.

    i think you can get one of the 3d printers that run klipper for closer to $100 during black friday and that will be far more of a plug & play solution cause it has a lot of intelligent features that take away a lot of guesswork and tuning to get things printing well

    klipper is what all of the more premium consumer 3d printers (except bambu) run as well, they just add some extra features like built in camera with "AI"
