So, I am trying to get GBA games wrking with my 3 in 1 and I've been having issues with getting the games to save.

I have searched around and found that I needed to use Rudolph's tool. I managed to copy the game into the NOR memory with the tool but it wouldn't create a .sav file.
After this, I downloaded the GBA backup tool and created a .sav file for the game.

This method worked for Advance Wars but it wouldn't work for any other game.

Um... can anybody explain to me how to use the 3 in 1 for GBA gameplay?

    Thanks,
    -AK8

No, maybe I wasn't really clear on the problem but I found my solution. I looked at Rudolph's tool, and found a readme file.

I am trying to use GBAExpLoader and I found that I have a different problem.

I flashed the game into NOR, but the game (Fire Emblem) won't save.

Can anyone help with this? Also, I'm not sure if this is the right section to put this in. It sorta has to do with the DSTT, but sorta not.

    Thanks,

I think that means you have a dead battery doesn't it?

yeah, think so too. if the game is playing but won't save, it's prolly the battery. it's dead.

If the battery is dead, does that mean that my 3 in 1 is useless? Is there a way to change the battery?

No, because RAm/rumble still works, so its not useless.
But the battery is not chargeable, you'll have to take apart the 3in1 and replace the battery.

Bah. DX screws me over again. Everything that I bought from them failed. Their Micro SD cards, DSTTs and now even the 3 in 1 adapter. I'm never ordering from them again.

How common is this whole dead 3in1 battery? I received my 3in1 from DX today, and it arrived with a dead battery. At least, I assume that is the issue. If I turn off and on my DS pretty much instantly after playing a GBA game, it'll save, but if its more than a second between, then it won't even show the copying GBA save to file message or whatever that says.

Yeah. If I knew that the 3 in 1 uses a battery I would have went with an older EZflash for the GBA that uses a micro SD card.
