Hacking .3 gamma tempermental

I recently update my brother in laws wii for 0.3 Gamma and it only loads select backups. I know the discs are fine because I used 3 of my known working backups (tested on my wii). 2 out of three would not load. they take a min flash the green screen quickly and then another min or so it comes up with the cannot read disc screen or returns to the launcher. The 1 disc that worked loaded fine mabee took a slight bit longer to load. I uninstalled the cIOS and reinstalled it and same with the gamma .dol and .wad. All the software is the same as what i used on my wii 3 weeks ago. I tried different settings in gamma to no avail. The dvd drive seems to be working fine it loads originals of the games fine, and played backups fine until I installed gamma. He has dash 3.2u with the "Fixed" wii shop update (I did that update for him when it came out.)


So, with that out of the way . Does anyone have any Ideas.

Maybe his drive is just a little bit more picky about the media. Have you tried using SoftChip aswell?

I have not tried soft chip yet. however wiigator 0.3b worked great with te same exact discs.

Do you have the latest cIOS installed?

Yes, Installed then Uninstalled and then installed again.

Try softchip. if it doesn't work, use a differrent media.

if neither of them work, its one picky wii lol
