2DS XL hinge insert

Hi guys,
I got myself a broken in half 2DS XL with damaged LCD ribbon cable for playing around with objective to repair it.

After installing the new LCD in the new top shell and putting it all together, I noticed that the hinge support (for a lack of better word, check the pic in attachment) that goes inside the top shell was missing. I'm strugling to find a replacement for it, so would like to ask if anyone tried using a New/Old 3DS XL hinge support (like this) on a 2DS XL shell.

Any other suggestions are much appreciated!

Well, had to 3D print that bastard!
It fit well and finally I can play some Mario with a standing & steady screen.

If someone needs the .stl file for printing, PM me.

Hi all, I changed PC some time ago and I searched for the STL file and can't find it anymore, I'm sorry guys...

I'll continue looking for it on my backup drives and will update the post with the file if I'm able to locate it.

Okay, that would be much appreciated. I'm not too familiar with 3d modeling to do this myself. I wasn't able to find any hinge pin replacements on Ali Express, etc so I'm just gonna print it.

Hi! Sorry about the late response. What exactly would you need to make the model? What do you mean by “source the part”?

I'm in the same situation you were.
Did you ever find that .stl file?
I looked everywhere online and couldn´t find one.
Also thought about purchasing a complete shell replacement, but I think the piece is not in the kits either
