Hey, so after 3 years of having a 2ds modded. The sd card got corrupted and removing everything (including the Nintendo 3DS folder) in it. So now my 2ds will turn on for a split second and shows a black screen then makes a pop sound and turns off. What steps do I need to take to fix this problem?

Unfortunately that suggests a hardware problem. Perhaps someone will correct me, but there is no software-related failure mode that will produce these symptoms. Did this unit receive some sort of physical injury?

If it is a hardware problem, then there is no solution except to open it up and check the connections.

Aside from that, the first thing to do with a corrupted SD card is to try to recover the data using standard utilities like Testdisk or Easeus; there are many, many threads on the subject. If you need to start over with a fresh SD card, then see https://3ds.guide/restoring-updating-cfw – which pretty much amounts to the same thing you were told about the last time you posted a thread like this.

Also I do not know why you started a blog entry for this. https://gbatemp.net/blogs/blog/2ds-modding-cfw-problem-for-2025.5228/
