She's not talking about interresting stuff. She's the Socialist propoganda portion of the show.

Whenever the word fascism comes up then you know it's some kind of government propoganda. I listened for about 5 minutes and I think she used the term Fascist about 10 times.

Best an overseas stream has ever worked for me. Tried to stream blizzcon and it was a nightmare. Also glad that ho is done. That is all.

This bit here is fascinating and obviously how the new 360 drives were finally brought down but man, this is dedication and tedious.

This should turn out to be quite interesting... Maybe this could be announcement surprise of BootMii... though, I will not hold my breath with that one. Better chance of Fors unleashing a prelude of cSM. Either way, this conference will be interesting.

Just finished watching the "Chip Reverse Engineering" ( http://events.ccc.de/congress/2008/Fahrpla...ts/2896.en.html ) and I was greatly impressed, they assumed a bit too much base knowledge about polishing, chip manufacture/semiconductor fabrication and imaging for my liking but given that is my area (I have literally spent hundreds of hours polishing materials of every type and enough time in the other two) all was good.

I have to say though that would be my ideal job if I went and pursued the electrical side of things a bit more, from what I am seeing it looks like they did not spend much on it (focused ion beam is already done in such situations under the guise of scanning electron microscopy but that is getting away from things), I did not think I would see optical recognition used in such a manner for a little while. I will however say some car companies are going to be quaking in their boots as this picks up (electronics on cars are about 15 years behind the times and the markup is so far passed the "taking the piss" level it hurts every time I hear it).

Just quickly for those joining us a "65nm chip" refers to the gate length rather than the whole transistor which is a much larger assembly (and what they in the presentation use to reverse engineer).

Sidenote if a copy of that presentation I can download should find itself somewhere I would appreciate it, got some people that will want to see it.

I saw that as I was reading the page, I will probably wait for the torrent version (hope my torrent client still works, Vuze was still known Azureus last time I used a torrent). Thanks Slowking.

Hmm it should be sometime in the afternoon in the USA when the panel takes place. So why would you need to make a insomnia session?
