Stuff like this is why I hardly bring my handheld with me when I go outside (That and the off chance of me getting mugged since it's dangerous to walk around where I live).

That's why I don't play games and walk. Especially in a place like that. If I want to play a game, or send a text message or something, I always stop.

sometimes I don't pay attention and walk in front of cars. When I was a little boy, I would usually walk playing on my Game Boy or reading some Spider-Man comics.

Ow. That would hurt. I don't think he would have died if the policeman didn't see him. I think he would have been able to call for help, or at least yell (in such a way it was obvious someone got hurt) to get attention. But yeah, if I need to do something like play a game or something like that I'll totally stop. There is no way I would play games while walking; it is way too dangerous, even if you don't fall onto train tracks everytime. Maybe this kid will have learned a lesson. (A lesson that PSP's are evil!)

Happened to me once. Fell into a large drain (that thankfully was dry and not very deep) and my DS flew 10 feet in the air and landed on the pavement with a lovely CRACK.

And I never played Cake Mania while on the move again.
