If it isn't being detected, then you missed something. Missing something would indicate there may be some problems with your knowledge.
Reseat the card. Confirm it does work in Windows again. Confirm the file type again. Windows likes to default to exfat and ntfs.

I had similar issue, and copied one file on and off with PC worked for me.

Might I suggest waiting for GW to release there method? They provided downgrades before and they worked perfectly. Why risk a brick?
