It also doesn't make sense to still use the Georgian calender since you always end up with 1 extra day every 4 years, or the 12-hour time format since it requires letters, or CDs since there are unwritable SDs and digital downloads, or Flash since HTML 5 is not only smooyher but has much more compatiblity and is easier to code in some cases, or Kelvins temperature, since its the most random way to measure heat. A lot of things that don't make sense to measure in are still that way. Oh and don't take it as me blowing up on you or anything, I kinda just felt like listing those.

It takes 365.25 days for the Earth to completely rotate around the sun. We have a leap day/year to synchronize the seasons so they don't gradually shift over time.
The 12 hour time format is used to keep things minimalistic and separate those areas that use it from adapting "military time" between citizens.
CDs are a medium and will always be needed as long as some companies and people don't use or allow internet usage between work hours or simply don't have it.
HTML 5 is not smoother or more compatible than Flash. Not yet, at least. Nor is it easy to code.
I can't help you with Kelvin since you're not a scientist that measures heat on a daily basis and it's mostly an opinion.

Anyways, back on track.

Kid Icarus is one of the only 3DS games coming out in 2012 that I know I'll be excited for. There will probably be more announced at E3, (as in other titles) but this is pretty cool.

My pre-order was despatched today, and is scheduled to arrive Thursday morning...
Simultaneously I am saddened that we can't all jump on this release and get angry at the AP for a few days while better people than me work out a patch, and pleased that we are a full year from launch and still not hacked. We still get OMG IMAGINZ TINY HORSEZES though
