Hacking Advantages of CFW for a Gateway user

rxTools supporting region free? This is the first time I've heard of this. Are you people positive you didn't install the games from region free cias? Most custom cias available on the web were built as region free, even if the original games weren't.

Hacking REQUEST FROM GW: We need you help with Zelda v1.1 Cartridge Dumps

I fail to see what's so wrong with GW asking for dumps. They want to fix the issue but don't have OOT carts that present it, so the fastest solution is requesting dumps. As someone said, it's no worse than asking for bug reports. It's not like it costs users any money, even though one would...

Supposedly 3DS banned users now able to connect online

Maybe Ninty is really gullible and believed all the banned pirates who phoned saying "I wasn't pirating, honestly! :(", so they went "OH NOES LEGIT USERS ARE GETTING BANNED!!!" and undid the bans :ha:

Hacking My Personal reasons for getting Sky3DS

Great! Next step is upgrading to GW, gaining access to the whole experience ;) J/K. Just don't go online with the default headers. Good luck getting a private header without a GW to dump your carts, though.

Hacking Error Code 002-0102, Have I been banned?

I'm surprised that it took Ninty this long to think to ban people who use public headers

Hacking From 8.2 to 9.2. Is it possible?

You can't run Ninjhax on 9.4. If I were you I'd just forget about it. Themes might sound cool, but they're not worth the long loading times 9.x adds to the home menu if you ask me.

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.3 PUBLIC BETA

Some games might require updates, but as you said, you can always install them from .cias. And waiting for the .cias to be uploaded isn't a problem, as GW always updates with support for the newest fw so fast that by the time new game updates come out, you'll already have eShop access. So...

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.3 PUBLIC BETA

Actually, you don't need the latest firmware to play online.

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.3 PUBLIC BETA

In other words, it doesn't "just work". If you want to play a game that doesn't work you'll have to get your hands dirty with templates or wait for it to become officially supported. Unlike with GW, where you just have to set up your emunand with 7.x or higher once and then all games will work...

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.3 PUBLIC BETA

First you claim that it just works, and then you admit that it requires screwing around with templates to work. Which one it is?

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.2 PUBLIC BETA

It's not a matter of recognizing a Japanese console as much as the game being told that Japanese is the system's language when it requests this information. Some games are coded to be the same in all regions (region locking aside), so they use that information alone to determine the language...

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.2 PUBLIC BETA

I don't know of any specific examples. But I recall people lamenting that American 3DS don't let you set the system language like European ones, because some games set their language based on that and don't let players manually change it.

Hacking GATEWAY ULTRA 3.0.2 PUBLIC BETA

Except that multilanguage games that set the language according to your console should play in Japanese with no way of changing that. And the menus, messages, built-in apps and Miiverse (including posts) will all be in Japanese. And you won't be able to install updates for your non-Japanese...
