GCN Extract JPG Frames from THP File?

I say it's a dead link because it was hosted on Megaupload, which is no longer around. I can hardly even find any information on THPView, how to use it, etc.

GCN Extract JPG Frames from THP File?

Hi, I have some .thp files that I'd like to extract the JPG frames from. I found this thread: http://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=608 where it was described that a program called THPView could be used, along with a now-dead link to download it at. I found a thpview.exe from the...

    Hacking Official [Release] CakesFW

Actually I just noticed that when I'm on Health and Safety, it says FBI. Is that an indicator that I am on Emunand?

But if I was using the Emunand wouldn't there be some sort of indicator in the System Settings, like a 'Cakes' or something next to the firmware version?

I have the Emunand patch enabled, but my nands are not unlinked yet. Is that my problem?

    Hacking Official [Release] CakesFW

I have menuhax set to auto boot by not pressing any buttons. When I click Boot CFW it loops me back to the launch screen again. Following this piece of advice: "If you're getting a boot loop while booting Cakes, emuNAND booting is triggering Menuhax due to the theme payload still being...

    Hacking Menuhax not booting

Hello, I am brand new to the 3DS homebrew scene and am trying to get a CFW installed. I am following this guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-more-or-less-catch-all-tutorial.407080/ I have an Old 3DS running firmware 9.2.0-20U. I successfully booted into the Homebrew Channel using...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

I know he is, and that's why I said I'd love to know why he is, especially in this Gamecube case. He didn't wake up one day and just decide "Gamecube piracy in 2012 must be stopped deterred".

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

I'm saying that his decision is wrong because it is logically flawed when you ask "Why prevent the use of unauthorized copies in my program?", and look at that question logically. I already did that back a page, so I'm not going to do that again here. "Because I can" is not a good answer. I'd...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

Of course he doesn't have to care about my opinion, fool; that doesn't make my criticism any less valid or unfounded. My posts are simply one valid viewpoint that I feel is in the interest of everyone. There are quite obviously conflicting viewpoints, and the point of an argument is to make...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

Don't get me wrong, I understand why the implementation exists as it does, but that doesn't make it right; is it worth cutting off legitimate users to "stop piracy"? From there, the question becomes "What is the advantage of my program preventing unauthorized games to be played?" "Am I trying...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

They're in the same position as they were before because tueidj chooses them to be. While everyone else is off enjoying Devolution, those with broken drives and scratched discs cannot, and that is tueidj's choice. He is choosing to cut off legitimate users who would otherwise be able to enjoy...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

Don't be ridiculous. He's punishing some legitimate users (broken drive, scratched games, etc) by lumping them in with the pirates. They aren't trying to pirate games, but are being treated as if they are; that is a punishment. And that works exactly as he intended (coded).

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

Punishing legitimate users to punish the pirates is not the proper action. That is what he's doing: punishing legitimate users. Regardless of whether they have other options or not is beside the point; tueidj specifically coded a restriction into his application to prevent pirates and some...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

tueidj, especially being someone with profound logic skills, shouldn't even feel as if his tools are used to "break the law"; he shouldn't feel responsible for the actions of his tool's users. Car manufacturers create vehicles that can be used for transportation, but there's nothing stopping...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

I'll borrow from my post on Page 2... How can you call people trying to remove artificial limitations and add ability to something "rude", and yet here you are on a forum partially devoted to the development of software that is only possible because others broke past barriers that Nintendo...

Hacking Why add anti-piracy measures to Devolution ?

How is any verification good, much less one that is completely arbitrary and an inconvenience to many legitimate users? Guess what? My games are "original". People tell you "back up your games into a digital format so that way if you lose them or they become destroyed, you won't be fucked"...

    Hacking Devolution - Public Release

But it just as easily could be, to no inconvenience for the author, which is why I was knocking his poor decision to limit the functionality of his program.
