I have just tried out the pal version of zelda on my modded wii 4.3u and all I get is a black screen? I have looked around and haven't really found much in the way of solid information.

Did you try forcing the Video Mode to NTSC?

Ahhh that I did not try. I only tried forcing it pal because I figured that's what made sense....I guess not lol. Thanks I'll try that and post again.

it should work with NTSC forced as link11510 said.

Nope I tried forcing it to ntsc and still black screen.

Try to use Regionfrii and Wii Brick Blocker and THEN burn it to the disc. http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/RegionFrii
