    It's an Arduino Uno (clone) running sdlocker-tiny.

    A provisional assembly rather than a real device, but it works.
    Super simple thing.

    Supply power, insert SD.
    If the SD is unlocked the LED goes off.​
    If the SD is locked the LED stays on.​

    Press the single button to change write protect state.

    I went to the old, dear Romhacking.net to see the progress regarding the translation of Marmalade Boy (sfc), but to access the forum I had to undergo the Cloudeflare verification. Guess what: after a minute of verification, I turned out to be a robot :huh:, something I already suspected. :rofl2: Ultimately, I couldn't access it, WTF.

    You might have an idea for a question, which appeared on the other forum I'm (semi-)active.
    Given a smartphone with broken screen. How to access data? Somehow a keyboard and another computer/phone must be connected at the same time.

    I don't fully understand. So shattered screen plus non-working touch? Can't you simply connect a PC plus its keyboard to read the phone's internal memory on PC and copy its data you need? Usually the necessary drivers are installed automatically from phone.

    I can't do anything as it is not my phone. My phone ignores all USB devices anyway.

    Problem is that one has to accept data transfer (MTP) after connecting PC. It could (maybe) be done with a keyboard blindly, but I can't get any phone to accept keyboard and PC at the same time.

    Once again a case of: "Restore your backup!"

    On newer Google Pixel GrapheneOS can fully disable USB. My 4a got only above, weaker settings.

    My initial post above requires a little previous knowledge. Nikokaro prefers smartphones while I can't really deal with them. For years I've been trying to convince him (mostly in jest) in using a proper PC.
    This time I was poking at the fact that a good encryption passphrase is hard to enter on a touchscreen while a hardware keyboard makes it easy.

    Ohhh... I had no idea. But after some time, I completely lost interest in that emulator; maybe it will come back later. 🤷 Now my interest is back toward Java puzzle games on my dear old s40 Nokia phones. Such is life: a seesaw of interests, I surmise. 🤔

Having initially provided a disposable email (for privacy reasons). But then I provided the real one, adding two-factor authentication, but then nothing changed.     Does anyone know what happened to Romhacking.net? It has been unreachable for half a day now, at least for me. 🤔 It gives me,:"SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection refused." It's not a hacker attack, is it? What interest would a hacker have in attacking a (rom)hacking site? 😅

    I am generally not sensitive to animation. This forced(!) reduction/removal of flashing lights to make games "seizure save" for affected people (instead of an on/off option) is a sad trend.

    I enjoy things like this in a dark room with maximum brightness on TV.
    But I don't have to concentrate on something else when playing this or watching a movie. If I was reading or writing something and another person would play this, I couldn't stay in the same room.
