  • Nikokaro, in my town, my family and I are saying goodbye to winter and saying hello to springtime. Because when Easter arrives, my siblings and I get our Easter candies and treats from our parents. And I love the candy eggs and chocolate bunnies so much.

We, too, are saying goodbye to winter, which seemed to never end, and warmly welcoming spring. In my country we have a cake, tasty and inviting, which is called "colomba pasquale"(Easter dove), and I'm fond of it.;)

Nikokaro, in honor of the arrival of springtime, I’m going to watch an episode of Hamtaro about Mimi’s midnight birthday party. Because I’ve get to use my imagination to reimagine the episode. Though my version is very similar.

Nikokaro, sometimes whenever I get bored, I create fan fictions of my favorite anime shows by using my imagination. And since my town has the corona virus, I get run my imagination by creating some stories.

My dear, sadly I'm afraid this problem affects every city/town in the world, and I recently fell victim to it: but all went well.

Nikokaro, I haven’t told you this, but before I was a fan of Pokémon, I remember playing my first Pokémon game on the ds, Pokémon black two. I don’t like this game because it was boring and not fun. But when I saw the trailer of Pokémon X and Y on the 3DS, I became a huge fan of Pokémon and I got Pokémon X.

I see. But newer, more modern games aren't always better. Many people appreciate more the simplicity and immediacy of the early Pokémon games, for Game Boy Advance and even for GB Color.

Nikokaro, I just watched the anime movie of The secret of the seal. Because Totti has a new playmate. Because he’s a baby seal. I love the part where baby seal wants to play with his mommy seal. But every time she moves, he fell off and slapped his tail.

Cool. Anyway, I remember the second Pokémon movie about the legendary Pokémon, Lugia. Why? Because Lugia is from my version of Runaway Reptar. And in the GameCube Pokémon game called Pokémon XD, an evil scientist has created the evil shadow Lugia.

Nikokaro, I know lots of childhood shows and movies from the past. But my favorite childhood movie besides the first Pokémon movie is the Rugrats special, Runaway Reptar. Not the CGI version of the show. Because I don’t like the reboot show.

Nikokaro, in my favorite episode of Pokémon chronicles, Misty’s Psyduck gets to eat the Pokémon food from a bucket. Because it’s just like a talking Riolu gets to have his own lunch.

Wow. I know that. Anyway, back in 2005, there’s a Pokémon movie called Destiny Deoxys. And my favorite scene is when everyone and shy Tory gets to play on the playground at night. It is just like a birthday party for Tory.

The first game in the series I played with was Mario Bros (1vs1 arcade game), in the bar near my school. Later I bought a NES console with Super Mario Bros (platform game) included in the package, and later S.M.B.2. Then the first Game Boy B&W (DMG) and Super Mario Land. These days I have fun with Mario Kart DS CTGP! B-)

Hi, it's been a long time since you wrote on my profile: did you remember that I exist? ;)
Unfortunately Hamtaro is not my thing, but sometimes I see, with my little son, the mecha series of my childhood (Mazinger, Grendizer, Getter, Jeeg).B-)

Looking below the surface isn't always a pleasant idea.
I removed carpets and PVC flooring on the attic… and found a lot of work below.

Other than that: Just wanted to say "Hi" again. I'm still not able to do much, but should talk to you again.

    Have a nice evening!

Hi, but how come you say you are not able to do much? Have you not been well? I'll take this opportunity to tell you that I had covid19 for the third time, but this time more severely, with fever, aches, sore throat and breathing problems (I'm not vaccinated) but I refused to go to the hospital, ready to accept the inevitable...but after 2 weeks I recovered. Thank God.🙏😇

Not the question if there are unpleasant surprises, only the question what unpleasant surprises.

Thank goodness there is more social sensitivity to bullying and harassment these days, and it's easier to get help. It used to be that people would pat you on the back and say, "that's life, you have to fight back, stand up for yourself."....

@Nikokaro I meant online bullying... And I agree that it should be easy to ignore. But some people really have a way of finding people's weak spot, and there have been many suicides as a result of online bullying.

In a way, it's more serious than real life bullying... Because at least you can't be bullied in real life when you're at home, at least you get an escape, but if you already have real life issues (can be unrelated to bullying) and the Internet is your escape, and you have online bullies following you everywhere and shit talking, what are you supposed to do then?

@The Real Jdbye You're right. I don't know what's worse. But at least online you don't get beaten up, and you don't risk losing an eye, as happened to me many years ago. Psychological wounds hurt, but if they add up to physical wounds it's a hell with no escape.
Among the various clones of this site I found a shady, bizarre (and outdated) "*modsnip*". Don't you dare to buy your medicines there; they are far from "safe" and will certainly be counterfeit (definitely toxic, to boot). I say this for your own good. And don't say I didn't warn you!!! 🤣

Those sites aren't funny in the first place. They are parasites trying to steal traffic and money (ads) – in the worst case they fish for passwords.
Search engine indexing GBAtemp would give them more and more importance if the names (or even links) can be found here often.

I was surprised to notice that english seems to have very few swear words to indicate "stupid things", and often when necessary I find myself forced to repeat those few banal terms, while in Italian we have a whole, special vocabulary dedicated only to these, which are numerous, rich in nuances and suitable for every occasion and for all seasons. Which says a lot about my people... 😣 😂 🤣

You think so? I just threw in "rubbish" and "nonsense" in LibreOffice thesaurus for US-English. It answered:
Rubbish → folderol, tripe, trumpery, trash, wish-wash, applesauce, codswallop
nonsense → bunk, nonsensicality, meaninglessness, hokum

I'm sure there is more. Love thesaurus! Look up similar terms for "stupid" yourself. Too many…

I actually didn't know many of these: good to know, for future reference. ;) But they certainly won't be so many as to make up a vocabulary. In certain "serious" matters, we Italians are unbeatable, and we brag about it, to boot. :D

Swearing in Spanish is too, pretty big.
I too am surprised by the lack of swear words in English (unless you count slurs from other entities that happens to speak English)

This is why I mostly fucking use fucking swear words because they don't fucking mean anything to me.

One thing that regrets and amazes me (not so much, really) is how many users here, especially young english natives, don't care at all about syntax and punctuation: all an amorphous pile of words one after another, without capitalization, commas etc. Lazy, sloppy and unkempt here, as in daily life, I suppose. It seems rather the foreigners who hold up the value, style and quality of the english language.

Personal communication between friends (knowing each other’s ways of expressing) aside, I think it is disrespectful to not invest effort into your messages posted online (public). “I’ll just puke something here, saves my time – even if the reader has to guess the meaning with a lot of effort/time.”

My English is far from perfect and error free. At least I try making my posts readable for anybody.

Rules and arbitrary contradict each other. Arbitrary is just writing without paying attention to any kind of form/rules/standard.
Not saying an online post must be high literature. It must be universally understandable – and many forms of arbitrarily, rapid-changing (NOT evolving!) "internet-lingo" fail hard at this.
This is my last reply on this. The 420 char limit is aggravating.
