    Had nothing better to do, so started playing BotW for real. Eeeeh, still not a fan of empty map, but...it's something *new* to do.

    @Jiehfeng I mean, Ubisoft does tend to put *far too much* repetitive crap into their open-world games, but the concept of "tower reveals activities in region" is one I can get behind; I hate not having direction, whether it's games or university projects, so having an empty map irritates me. The online map helps somewhat.

    I understand how that aspect can be disliked. The maps in Ubisoft games are very convenient, but when I played BoTW after a while I began to really like the fact that nothing is marked. The discovery aspect I found pretty fun, of course I probably would've hated it of not for the Sheikah Sensor. Sounds like in your playthrough you haven't gotten that feature yet, so trust me it gets a lot better.

    Akira, I have a question for you. Do you believe in mermaids? I just watched the Sofia the first special about mermaids. Besides, mermaids and humans can’t be friends. But with help from another mermaid, princess Ariel, Sofia helps the mermaids become friends with humans.

    Or being able to edit shops/treasure chests/enemy drops to include Buns or Elixirs or Megalixirs or powerful gear; having each item's hex values would be extremely useful, since the BD file structure itself is well-organised. Where to edit is easy; how is not.

    He's actually quite a fortunate dog; he gets good food, a decent amount of exercise, a lot of attention, and he can go into pretty much every room of the house. He just keeps on peeing on that footrest, no matter how often he gets verbally scolded.

    What, didn't ATLUS have the resources to model one or two extra outfits for them? Just takes me out of the experience, seeing the Thieves wear the same exact getups day in and day out - except for Phantom Thievery and that one beach scene on the island. And the yukatas. I know it's not as big as regular Persona 5 (which did give the cast multiple outfits), but still.

    More like the writers of Star Wars, Captain Marvel and WW:1984 didn't think through how their mistakes would be taken, or they were deliberate propaganda - 1984 was likely just a mistake, with its "Wonder Woman is a rapist" connotations (her wish causing her dead boyfriend to hijack another man's body, and her sleeping with said body, etc.), while Star Wars and Captain Marvel seem like propaganda.

    Though the cast remaining in the exact same clothes for more than a month is a stretch; the model artists couldn't scrounge up one or two more casual outfits for each Thief? And while the first hot spring scene is harmless, the second (boys staying in too long, girls walk in, and predictably it's the guys who get assaulted) is...ugh. STOP DOING THAT ATLUS IT AIN'T FUNNY

    Unless you have a newer model with soldered-on SSD, in which case does your mouse cursor lag if you're dragging it around? If it's lagging, then that means that the SSD is fucked, and macOS lags due to the high response time from the SSD. This only affects NVMe afaik.

    WD Elements 4TB HDD, bought a couple of years ago, with a poorly-constructed Comsol USB-A to USB-C adapter cable, and my laptop's a 2017 Macbook Pro that hadn't been shut down or restarted (or updated) for months.
    Sooo...yeah. Maybe I should buy a new adapter cable; that should be far cheaper and more effective than a new HDD.

    I live in the northern US, and after converting to imperial because the American school systems never properly taught me metric, I can tell you that at 12C I finally broke out my shorts and enjoyed the heat wave. Why do I live here
