    I live in the northern US, and after converting to imperial because the American school systems never properly taught me metric, I can tell you that at 12C I finally broke out my shorts and enjoyed the heat wave. Why do I live here

    I named it a couple years ago, when I used to play the original Mass Effect trilogy on PS3 a bunch (which was still years after ME3's release, so the ME3 MP servers had been long since abandoned, meaning a permanent 50% War Asset value cut. Hope that's fixed in Legendary).
    Named my account after one of the initial team members in ME1, the guy that's immediately killed by Geth droids - Jenkins. I regret that now...

    I used to enjoy Jim Sterling's videos, for many years; I no longer do. His show's changed as he's changed, and I'm not a fan of the changes.

    @Chary I used to find Jim's antics (e.g. random toys or masks, the "cereal monster" thing, pretending to fuck Pogs) pretty funny, and I do agree with quite a few points/opinions Jim's made over the years, but I dunno; something about the show now just ruined it.

    I used to be a gigantic fan of theirs, and I feel like I've changed more than anything. Jim has a very particular style of humour that tends to be very garish and over the top, which can just be a lot after so many years of following. Not sure if they've gone more over the top since coming out, but I don't think there was much further over the top they could have gone. Still a fan of the comedy podcasts, though.

    Gen II - that is, GSC. When Game Freak moved to the GBA, they completely overhauled the underlying data structure - which is why it was impossible to transfer Pokémon from the GB/C to newer games until they figured out a workaround on the 3DS. Part of this overhaul was replacing DVs (0-15) with IVs (0-31), and Stat Exp (0-65535 in each stat) to EVs (0-255 in at most two stats).

    Watched The Killing Joke movie today, and...it was decent. I suppose the first 30 min are extraneous, but overall not that bad.

    Except for how Barbara decides to let out pent-up rage by beating up a man, when his only 'crime' is to not be receptive to his needy girlfriend; that could've been cut out entirely, for sure.
    Other than that bit of casual, "acceptable" sexism, the movie as a whole is a decent watch. Not likely to rewatch it soon, but it's far from awful.

    Ignoring the follow up comment, I'm not one to tell someone that they're wrong for liking something. The animation is perfectly serviceable, and the non-video game reuniting of Conroy and Hamill deserves to be celebrated for sure. But even beyond an unnecessary and poorly written first half, my biggest complaint is that there just didn't feel like there was any heart put into this one.

    The performances across the board feel totally phoned in at times, even from the two biggest stars. The actual Killing Joke portion also felt super rushed, which is ironic given that they added that first half to pad the runtime.

    Or those Fortnite or tech product scams; hiding the dislikes would make them seem to work, resulting in countless more victims.

    Hiding Dislikes seems good on the surface - "limiting harassment" - but going deeper just shows how flawed an idea it is, just like many big-tech decisions these days.

    I heard its mostly because the Dementia Patient in Chief's videos were getting disliked more than the GEOTUS' vids who are getting more likes and attention than the current president! Almost like the people are waking up, especially considering how many are removing their masks now!
