I did exactly the same thing with my adapter 3 days ago. Even with the same programmer.

I managed to lift all my pads. Would have to scrape 4-5 traces free and fix the pads. Thank god everything worked.

Then I faced the same problem that the remote control had to be reconfigured. That cost me 2 days because I couldn't bridge the pads with the tweezers.
I noticed again and again that in different combinations the picture turned black when bridging.

I don't think you've bridged a resistor maybe you have bridged a combination in which the picture remains black. You can try to measure R10 if it is still ok. You could also have accidentally pushed the plug down and broken the digital port.

I'm sorry it turned out like this for you but don't give up. Thought my adapter is also over.

Thank you. I think i broke it because the LED stays off completly. No Sign of life. Ive replaced the R10 with another 10K Ohm Resistor. But nothing. Think its over and i need to buy another one.

oh damn that hurts. sorry to hear that. Are you sure the LED isn't just broken? light it up with a multimeter and check if it's ok. Second, I would see if the m25p40 has 3.3V, maybe the m25p40 is broken. Check also if the processor is also supplied with electricity. maybe it's some other resistor

Thats bad that we dont got a Schematic for the Board so i can trace the error ... Its very complicated.

If you can, test it on another GameCube. I had the exact same thing and it turned out that it shorted something in the power board of my gamecube, that prevented the kaico adapter to be powered. It's located below the motherboard of the console, and looks like this :

If you get no orange light and only fan is spinning then it's most likely the main fuse on the power board.

Its not the Cube that wont power on. Its the Adapter which shows no light the is working fine with AV Cable.
Maybe its the voltage converter on the Backside.

I got the exact same thing. The gamecube worked, with its orange light on. It even worked with an AV cable ! But the Kaico adapter didn't work. I first thought it was dead, then I tried on another GameCube, and it worked. After replacing the power board on the first gamecube, the adapter worked again.
It can be the same problem. If you can, try on another GameCube.

That would be great i dont have another gamecube sadly and dont know anyone who has one ... Is there a way to use a multimeter to trace the error. How did you trigger it?

You can first check if the gamecube digital port is outputing both 12v and 3.3v.
The pinout of the connector can be found HERE.
Check for pin 5 and 17, one pin at a time, the other end of the multimeter being connected to ground.
But be careful with the multimeter. If you connect two pins together by mistake you can kill the console.
In my case, I believe the 12v pin was not outputing any voltage, so I replaced the power board.

Ive tested the Points and got like 1,4v on 12V line. And 1 one 3,3 volt. Think its really dead.

Therefore, I think you're in luck! The gamecube power board is easy to replace.
It depends on your country, but Ebay has tons of them : Ebay link
Follow those steps here first. When the motherboard is removed, unscrew the bottom metal plate that remains in the gamecube shell. Then you will see the power board, held by four screws.

No, it seems too expensive.
All power boards are the same, I put one from a pal gamecube into a Japanese one with no issues.

Edit : Woh, I didn't know the prices went up that much! 25€ seems ok now (inflation ?). You can get it cheaper, but it will be sent from China, which can take a long time.

The Adapter works just fine. But i cant open the pair menu. Its just not coming up. Maybe its the Short on the Flash Chip. But i looked up and its only the Hold function of the Chip and the next other is ground. There are no traces on the outside one i thinkt

Great news !! I also had some problems because I couldn't short SW1 pads well enough. Maybe try to solder two wires, one for each pad, and connect the two wires...
