EZ Flash Omega firmware issue (also not saving!)

So I purchased one of these 2 days ago, all going great. Until today.
I now get a blue screen every time I boot up the EZ FLASH OMEGA that says I’m on firmware version V00 and pressing ‘A’ will update to V09 but it never does.

I can bypass this by pressing ‘B’ but when I’m playing games then it is now unable to save, making the whole flash cart useless.

Is there a fix for this or am I just better off getting returning this and getting an everdrive?

Copy everything from the MicroSD, format it fresh as FAT32, slap on the newest firmware from the manufacturer (https://www.ezflash.cn/zip/omegakernel20210824.zip) according to the manual and try again. If it still refuses to update try a different miscroSD card. If it's then still refusing to work it's likely broken and needs to be returned.

I’m suspecting broken. Have tried all of the above, gutted as was looking forward to playing some classics this weekend but think I’ll get a refund and go for the everdrive!
