I have the same problem as you, this game is literally unplayable with EXP Share. You're playing Diamond, right? Downgrading won't work. Once the Switch updates a game, it's over. It will always know that update exists and earlier versions will no longer run. I tried this myself a few days ago.

The only workaround I thought of was using Pearl, as there are codes for "no EXP Share" AND "no affection bonus" there and saves are interchangable. Backup your Diamond save with JKSV and use it to insert your Diamond save into Pearl. However, your Pokemon will behave as "traded" Pokemon. Use PKHex to change all the Pokemon you're using to being caught in Pearl version, that should make them behave normally. Here's hoping that no EXP Share code gets updated.

I made some codes; developed and tested on Pearl, though for 1.1.2 only should also work for Diamond. The base address of them all is the same as the money and inventory codes, so barring changes to the game's internal structures they should be easy to update in the future.

The foreign pokemon codes stay in effect even after disabling them, until you use a code for a different language. I didn't test it, but it might also get saved into your savefile, so use the code for your own language when done.

Apologies if i've missed it, but can anyone clear up why there used to be a code for the pokeradar to remain at max 999 chain, but now I'm unable to find one. Does it not exist?

You can downgrade anygame (unless pkmn is doing something different). You just gotta have the older update you want to install.

1)uninstall the update file (i use tinfoil for majority of this procedure but can use goldleaf also)

2) reset required version, so this way it only sees/reads base game installed

3) Install the update you want. The only thing that may cause issues is your save file. To my knowledge, there's no way to "downgrade" the save but thats all you gotta do to downgrade a game

Thanks for the info! I just found this out a few hours ago and was just about to post about it. Someone in the other code thread mentioned DBI and I looked into that, so that's what I used to reset the required version. And indeed it does work and I'm back to version 1.1.1 with all those codes working. I'm not sure about the save getting messed up though, I made a save backup on 1.1.1 just before updating and I reverted back right after downgrading.

If you used one of my codes for capturing foreign pokemon, you can try using the code for capturing English language pokemon (or whichever language you want), saving the game, and then reloading it. It should work, but I never tested using my codes for changing the whole game's language.

Incidentally, if using those foreign pokemon codes, you should always use the code for your own language after you finish capturing the foreign pokemon you want.

thanks for ur quick answer i really dont know how to do it i just downloaded the pack put it in the contents startet the game and now its japanese and i want it in german or a language i can read
