Can someone do vice-versa? Import Platinum content into these half-assed remakes?
That'd be something right? I too really expected more of the remakes, especially considering that the events for Darkrai & Shaymin aren't even properly implemented, and that the Hall of Origins & the Azure Flute are both ENTIRELY lacking from the game. The Distortion World not being there is also such a huge miss in my opinion, especially considering that on the Switch with the more modern graphics and engine and the likes, they could've done SO MUCH MORE with it than on the NDS. Yet, they only chose to make a tribute to it with a Shadow Giratina you can't even catch. I myself am quite disappointed of how lackluster these remakes felt, because the "Grand Underground" for sure is not enough to make up for the lack of all the next-gen/post 4th-gen Pokémon and other features people expected. I mean, the GTS (Yes, GTS, not GWS as they now suddenly call it), is also not even implemented. At the VERY LEAST the game could've been complete upon release. Yet they have decided to time-gate this and other features, which is beyond disgusting.
If they don't implement new stuff/DLC's that add additional features, then I don't see these remakes surviving for all that long really. Sword & Shield survived for long because they bothered adding new content.
Also, that being said however, I will say what we all are thinking and all want: Multi-region Pokémon games.
Is that so hard to make Ninty, is it? You've done it a loooong time ago with Kanto & Johto (although it never felt right because switching to either side always felt like things were half-assed and they just felt off, like it never felt like it was a part of the game to go over to Kanto from the Johto games because it wasn't implemented properly), so why is it just so hard to make one game with all regions (or at least, let's say all Japanese regions, like putting together Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh)?
I don't understand Ninty and Pokémon games anymore. They don't really contain anything other than what we've already had 10-15 years ago, just rehashed.
EDIT: Wanted to add that, in case anyone points out that anything beyond the 4th-gen wasn't added because it didn't exist yet around that time, it is only really a convenience argument for Ninty/The Pokémon Franchise and nothing more. There are already items and other stuff in the games that didn't exist around the 4th-gen, like all of the Candies/Mints, and the Beastball, and other newer items. On top of that, it also had already been done, namely in Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, so really if anyone pulls this excuse then you're just a Ninty/Pokémon Company chill. I've been longer with Ninty & The Pokémon Franchise than many here even have existed, and yet I am quite disappointed at the lack of development and the missed opportunities this franchise has so often come to. It all boils down to what basically ALL game developers & publishers these days are guilty of: Make the most money with the least amount of effort.
Nintendo arguably has better quality control than let's say Activision, EA, Ubisoft, you name it. But when it comes to what their fan bases really want, Nintendo has almost ALWAYS been deaf to it. The only time I can remember something cool having been done to the Pokémon franchise, was with Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, and with Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. All others were just small increments to their previous versions that didn't add anything major or any cool features/Pokémon/worlds that blew you out of your socks. I mean admit it yourself, when was the last time you got blown away by a Pokémon game for all the really cool, new stuff, lore and Pokémon they added? It's been a while, hasn't it?
So yeah, the "ThEy hAvEn't dOnE It bEcAuSe oF LoRe/cAnOn rEaSoNs!" argument is incredibly absurd and ridiculous, as all it does is deliver Nintendo another excuse for their low efforts on trying to actually do something more than just meeting the absolute base & bare minimum expectations.
