Hey all! I have seen this question asked a couple of times in different ways but I haven’t really found a clear answer and or any caveats to this setup. So here’s what I want to do: I have one hard drive (with the power splitter) and a 256gb SD card in my system now. I install all of my Wii U games and VC Injects on the hard drive. I currently am using Wii Flow to run Wii games from my SD card which USB Loader GX lacks the ability to do. However, I am having issues with running Guitar Hero/RockBand games on both Wii Flow and VC Injects where the audio lags and has strange issues that aren’t a problem with the roms. USB Loader GX seems very solid and I’m hoping it will fix my issues with those games. My problem is, I need my current hard drive for the Wii U and again can‘t use my SD card on USB Loader GX, so I would need to add another hard drive. Can I run 2 hard drives as long as I have an external power source with the splitter for both of them? I would use one on the Wii U and one on the vWii. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Also, if any of you know anything about the Guitar Hero game issue, I posted another thread but had no response. I can‘t link it here because my account is too new, but if you search it on the forum you’ll see it.

Yo can disconnect the external drive while on vWii, and connect the SD card on the usb port, also you can try running those games on another IOS and see if they work correctly, i think guitar hero and other music games use other IOS like 56 or 58 (i'm not sure).

firs try changing the IOS and if that doesn't work, well, disconnect the hdd everytime you want to play

I give you 3 clear answer with 3 clear scenario, I hope to clear up your thoughts about.....

1.
Scenario: To use two simultaniously HardDisk/ SSD/ PenDrive (one in the back and one in the front of the console from
the 4 USB ports aviable) FOR ONLY WII U staff Games/App.

Answer: NO, Because the system it's limited to manage only one harddriver at once, if you will plug two somultanesly,
the Wii U will not boot into the Main Menu and after waiting for a wile it invite you to unplug one of the HDD.

2.
Scenario: To use two simultaniously HardDisk/ SSD you can use one external and indipendent Dock that will put
in RAID (of course without any driver insatallation needed) the two harddriver,
but honeslty it's silly to use such things to have extra space FOR ONLY WII U staff Games/App .

Answer: YES, but as I said it's silly to use this just to get extra space.

3.
Scenario: To use two simultaniously HardDisk/ SSD/ PenDrive (one in the back and one in the front of the console from
the 4 USB ports aviable); so, One FOR ONLY WII U staff Games/App and Another One FOR ONLY vWii Games.

Answer: YES, well, there is the trick to let them to be coexist to don't face the problem of the FIRST Scenario ABOVE.
You have to downbload a software called Ustealth R8, this will modify the "boot signature" of your
HardDisk/ SSD/ PenDrive, kind of as an unusual ID where the Wii U system cannot recornize and will only
see one HDD plugged, and second it's invisible for the Wii U System . Again, invisible for WII U but visible for
vWii app that you will use to boot up the vWii Games (you need to set it visible from the Game Loader Settings
of the vWii App, or if the app support it, you no need to do anything because it's supported natively)

HERE, it's about Ustealth R8: https://gbatemp.net/threads/ustealth-wii-u-format-disk-nag-workaround.352786/
