Hacking Black screen after ChoiDujourNX FW 12.0.0 update (original switch)

I have a original (non chipped) switch running sxos 3.0.5 emunand. I attempted to upgrade the FW with ChoiDujourNX from v 10.2.0 to 12.0.0. The install seemed to go fine, I used exfat. At the end I had the he hekate_ipl GC warning. Upon reboot I get back to the sxos menu, when I select "boot custom FX" I get a black screen.

Any ideas? My plan is to move from SXOS to Atmos. but if possible, i'd like to be able to boot back in to custom FW again first.

Here is the contents of the hekate_ipl file, not sure if it matters.

SX OS is not compatible with any system version above 11.0.0, and it probably never will be. If you want to be able to boot into SX OS, you need to do the following:
  1. Setup the latest version of Atmosphere
  2. Download Switch system update 11.0.0
  3. Boot into Atmosphere
  4. Downgrade to 11.0.0 using Daybreak
  5. Update SX OS to the latest version (3.1.0, I believe)
However, making the permanent switch to Atmosphere is recommended.

OK. My guess is that I just need to blow everything away and start fresh, or should I convert? I will look for a tutorial.
