ROM Hack Ripping 3D Game models from a 3DS .CIA

So for a project w/ some friends I want to try and rip some 3d models from skylanders giants, specifically the 3ds version, but I'm not sure how to use anyfileexplorer, and I'm wondering if there is a different way to rip the models, or if there is a tutorial for anyfileexplorer.
I have a backed up .CIA file and a 3ds in case I need to convert it for any reason, help would be greatly appreciated!
