so the EU is proceeding with taxing shipments from china starting July 1st. Formerly any package containing an item with less value than 24€ was not in need of paying import taxes. Well Aliexpress, Gearbest and other Chinese sellers abused this by declaring their packages contained items with less value. The problem is that that they will ignore pricing from the seller and if they consider a bluetooth adapter for the switch is worth 45€ and not 15€ as I paid, they will tax me for 45€ x 0.21(VAT in Spain).
So I mod Game Boys with IPS screens and I can't predict to my clients how much VAT they will impose on the parts because it may depend on the judgement of the customs agent that day(lets be honest their goal with this law is to bring in the bucks so I am not hopeful).
Does anyone know a European Union distributor for IPS kits?
