With the annoucement at E3 of Battlefield 2042, people are flocking back to Battlefield 4 to get more "all-out warfare". Because of the player uptick, more people are having to wait a long time for games to start. Well, 2 days ago EA announced that there will be new servers added to the US-West region, so places like California, Colorado, Washington, and Utah will see lower queue times. Before this, the US-West servers had the longest queues out of all servers, EA said. For those who are still confused as to why people are going back to Battlefield 4, Kotaku states that it may be due to the setting:
Kotaku said:
Recent games in the online shooter franchise have been set in older wars, like World War II. However, 2042 is set in... well, 2042, during a near-future war. This modern combat setting was last seen in Battlefield 4. So folks pumped about a return to that era of combat are jumping back into BF4 to relive the joy of using guns that have red dot sights and flying jets around.

Very nice, US west doesn't have fast enough servers
I agree, there's usually no fast servers for anything past Arizona. Sometimes Seattle will have a fast one on occasion, but that's about it.

Hmm. I tried the PS4 EU ones a week or so back. Seemed there were no more hardcore servers which was unfortunate.
Anyway glad to see people enjoying the game still. Did better for me than what has since followed it.
