I am looking to buy some controllers for my softmodded Wii....I am also playing GC games through Nintendont...

(1) For GC games I must use OEM GC controllers...since they offer the best compatibility...right ? or do Classic Pros, PDPs and HORIs work too ?

(2) For Wii games, should I go for Classic Pros, PDPs or HORIs ?

For NGC, yes, there's no better controller than the OEM's and if you Wii is backwards compatible (as I assume), then you can enjoy NGC as they were meant to be.
You can use many diferent controllers with Nintendont without extra configuration as it has hardcoded compatibility for Plug&Play, and for the most part it works just fine unless your controller is from a very cryptic and uncommon brand.

For Wii, I mostly use the Motion Plus, as most games require it. So I can't be of much help on this regard. But I'd say a Controller Pro should work without issues.
I have a Classic Controller (the one with the analog shoulder buttons) and it works great with Mario Sunshine through Nintendont, but doesn't compare to the OEM ones, and its just sitting on a box "collecting dust".

I have the following controllers:

1x PDP Xbox360
1x OEM Xbox one
1x OEM PS4 DS4
6x OEM PS3 DS3
4x PDP PS3
4x OEM PS2 DS2
5x 3rd party PS2
1x Logitech F510
1x Logitech F710

I also have the following Wii controllers:

2x Wiimotes
1x Classic pro

For Nintendont, I am going to buy 2 OEM GC controllers...2 is enough or should I buy more ?

What controller should I buy for Wii ? Another Classic Pro ?

How does this controller compare with the OEM GC controller ?
That technically is an OEM GameCube controller. I have the Smash for Wii U version which is probably the same as this one (but I can't confirm that for certain) and the only difference I really notice from the old GC controllers is that the rumble feels different, maybe weaker. There are some small changes internally but it is still an OEM GameCube controller made by Nintendo.

Very few Wii games require or can even take advantage of Motion Plus. But a Motion Plus controller can be used to control any game that requires a Wiimote. I have only used Motion Plus controllers since the day I first purchased them. No reason not to. And I use a Wii Classic Controller Pro for all Gamecube games.

Wii games that don't use motion controls are a waste of an amazing console and I don't bother with them. If I did, I'd use the Classic Controller Pro. In general it is a very good idea to use genuine Nintendo controllers with Nintendo consoles. PDP and Hori are not as good as the originals.

I have already purchased two OEM GameCube controllers..

I am looking to buy a couple of cheap third party ones...which 3rd party GC controller works with Nintendont ? (excluding PDP and Hori)

one more question: Do PDP and Hori Wii U controllers have clickable thumbsticks like L3/R3 on a PS3 controller ?

Do GC/Wii games even utilize clickable thumbsticks ?

Are there any GC/Wii controllers that have clickable thumbsticks ?
