GCN Error when using my LG GDR-8082N to rip GameCube games...

Here's what I've tried:

I've tried using the Rawdump software but keep coming up with the "Error!! You might have a faulty drive!!". I have looked through the afterdawn forums to hunt a solution with this. I haven't tried safe mode yet, as I assumed that wouldn't work on a win 10 PC. But I've tried the others.
I can't seem to find a way to install friidump using the source files found on github.
I know the drive isn't faulty because it detects the disc on rawdump.

Any ideas?

Does it play games fine? No random DREs/black screens/crashes? Just because the drive is able to read discs doesn't mean it's not struggling to read them, that could lead to random corruption in the dumped data. I don't know what checks lead to rawdump displaying that message, but you should not simply dismiss it because "you know the drive isn't faulty". Older consoles like PSX/Dreamcast/PS2/GC/Xbox often need pot tweaks to read discs reliably because the lasers are worn. Faulty doesn't mean not working at all.

Laptop slim drive GDR-8082N works. I personally confirmed firmware 0007 works in PIO mode only, Drive REV. A0.

I have no Idea how to change that Mode in actual Windows Systems....
The UDMA is the only Mode used in todays PCs.I am pretty sure that is maybe your Issue.Your LG Drive seems to be too "fast".

The results with Rawdump and Friidump vary.
I have seen this error with Rawdump when trying to dump a Wii disc before, while the drive successfully (checksum redump verfied) copied other game discs – including a GC disc where the Wii and GC consoles gave up.

Having that said, modern computers and/or (Windows) operating systems might cause issues. If possible use Windows XP for Rawdump or go the easy (and faster) way by using Cleanrip on a Wii or GameCube.

Oh, I was not aware that it was a PC ripping tool. Not something that is commonly used. Maybe they are trying to use an incompatible drive.
