So I followed the directions in this video exactly and I'm not sure if I did it correctly, because I didn't see the custom firmware loading on the screen at 6.03 in the video below.

I even did a fresh FAT format of the RCMloader and installed the RCMloader one/ zero U disk built in files 20200505.
RCMloader firmware was updated to v1.2

The SXOX website is down so I didn't bother installing the SXOX on the SD card.

Within the RCMloader, I replaced the payload bins for Renix and Atmosphere with the appropriate files.

Ensured that the RCMloader LED was blue and proceeded with the following:

First put the switch in airplane mode, and ensure that it's powered down. Not in sleep mode, but actually powered off. Then:

1. Install RCM jig, and leave it installed while doing the following next steps.
2. Press and hold the volume up button and while holding the volume up button, press and hold the power button. Keep both buttons held for 3 seconds.
3. Screen remains black with no back light.
4. Install the RCMLoader.
5. The led on the RCMloader flashed blue once, but nothing happens on the screen, so did the custom firmware load correctly?

Powered it all down, disconnected everything. Repeated steps 1-5 and the sept atmosphere logo popped up on the screen and when I go to albums, I see the hbmenu with daybreak and reboot to payload installed.

Am I good to go?

Also at 2:59 in the vid, only the atmosphere folder is dragged to the SD card but the file I downloaded wasn't atmosphere 0.8.2-master zip file like in the vid, but rather the latest which is 0.15.0-master which contains a folder titled "switch", "sept" and a file called "hbmenu.nro" I guess the video is dated and atmosphere 0.8.2-master zip file only contains a single folder called "atmosphere" unlike the 0.15.0-master zip file that has the atmosphere folder and the additional folders and hbmenu.nro not seen in the video.

Figured it out. All good.

you dont have to hold the power button after you power the switch down then plug the jig plug the RCM Loader now just hold volume up and press power button dont hold it and this way you will always know if you've entered RCM mode and if its booting right

That's the reason why you shouldn't follow video guides.
