Sky 3ds is the only one that works without issues with pokemon sun/moon and ultrasun/ultramoon, if you don't have any interest in these games, just pick a stargate 3ds card

The risk with Gateway is that it can wipe your exploit. I forget how.

The soft hack is a decent way to do it. It's not perfect because you have to transfer files to the internal microSD card, and it takes AGES to install them, and often the files don't work, but once it's done it's done. Gateway was far more convenient, but there was some big reason why it wasn't really viable anymore after support stopped. It might have been that newer games didn't work or it might have been something related to emulators. My old posts probably have relevant info.

If I remember right one of the Sky cards was still a good solution last year, but they are expensive.

Blah. 3 of my NSO + Expansion Pass family group members are leaving. Found one replacement so far but still need to fill two empty slots. I have 9 days or i eat the extra cost myself. But with a full group $11 for a year is a good deal. imo
