Hacking HELP HELP, Corrupted SD card ?

Hi Guys

i have a 400gb SD card i’ve been using with my Switch with EmuMMC for the last 1year but after putting in in my PC to copy a file it failed to eject properly ( flash drive light still on ) refused to disconnect when i selected eject usb device , so i had to remove it anyway but now when i put it back into my PC is seems to think that both partitions on it now need formatting, not just the EmuMMC Partition but also the normally readable Switch folder partition too.

It also failed to boot in my Switch also, are there any windows tools i can run to help recover it ?

using the windows drive checkdisk fails to run and it says the drive needs formatting so i’m guessing i need some sort of 3rd party tool ?

any help really appreciated

That doesn't work at all as it still says " unable to determine the file system type" I think I need a more low level tool ??? any advise ?

Try reading your USB through an ubuntu live usb, you can make one with the program rufus on windows and then boot from that usb. See if you can backup your folders.

thanks guys in the end i just rebuilt my emummc from an old 400gb backup of the SD card ..took about 12hrs to copy and then readd all my latest games, latest firmware and atmosphere software but better then starting from scratch..i’ll back my sd card up a bit more often now but at least i had a back up

by the way i lost my game saves is there any software that copies this automatically to a safe location every day for instance ?

there are many homebrews to backup your game saves. afaik none of them can be scheduled

There is no homebrew application that automatically backs up save data although I highly doubt you need to backup every single game's save data daily since you're not playing all of your games on a day to day basis.
