Hello all you young-ins I am 77 years of age and worked with just about every bit of hardware. I have my own network and spend a lot of time helping people my age who haven't a clue.
I was always a knurd and even built a mechanical computer in 1965. I was trained in the USAF and was stationed at Andrews AFB. Washington DC. Had my own "HiFi Stereo shop in NJ and in Fort Collins Co. At one time I could read and write Morse code at 27 wpm. The Internet came along and I built an Heath H-8 designed by DEC. It had 16 KB of RAM and I used a paper punch read and write device to program in BASIC. Happy to be involved with all your stuff on this GBATEMP site!

Damn, we need to salute to this technological (and literal) veteran.

I agree.

Welcome to the temp!
I hope your experience here is faster then waiting for punch cards to come through or your answer to be loaded from drum memory haha.

I shiver at the idea that someone somewhere wrote games for the C64 or NES in 6502 asm. That sounds like a career where you eventually go insane or something.

Haha, 40 years from now, people will shiver at the idea of programming on primitive binary computers.
They wouldn't know any better then quantum computing.

Didn't know we were conducting interviews to join these days. Welcome to the site.

To be a pedant I should note that quantum computers still want an awful lot of conventional computer resources to make sense of the results.

Holy Moly sir!
Age is a state of mind.

We all be catching you later, although, not as fast as alexander1970.
(rofl I'm so funny)

I would love to read your stories, I'm sure tou have lots of'em stored in your memory.

Don't forget that you have your own Blog where tou can post almost anything, and that you can hide certain forums... like the politics section!

Quantum is a term used for computers that requires to do task that otherwise would be prolonged towards infinity.

Quantum Chips on TV'S is just a commercial gimmick.
