I'm enjoying the games for what they are. I have 10 stars in Mario 64, 10 in sunshine, and 9 in galaxy. I've been playing all day, and, I have no regrets.

im curiouse about this title. i was reading that mario galaxy is re-compiled for the switch. while mario sunshine and 64 are emulated. so if we have an emulated gamecube game does this potentially mean we could emulate more with the same method nintendo use? or have i miss-read about this?

First, my understanding is Galaxy is still partially emulated.

Next, in principle, it is possible to swap GameCube games and play them using the provided GC emulator. There are barriers to getting this to work, however, and it might not ever work.

thanks for the reply. so is anyone investigating this that we know off? i mean if its gonna work then i guess it would be low end games only due to the emulation

It's being investigated, but I doubt anything is going to come of it anytime soon, if ever. There's allegedly a lot about it that makes the emulator Sunshine-specific.

Went ahead and ported over the 60fps gecko code for Sunshine so it works with the Switch version:
60FPS (PAL) [gamemasterplc, ds22x]
0440B2B8 3F800000
042F37D4 60000000
044093B4 3CA3D70A
C20066EC 00000002
C2C28028 EC2105B2
FEC00890 00000000
Does It work on sx os cheats?

I haven't played it myself, but I've heard that it performs better than originals in most cases

Can't wait to try it face to face with Galaxy on the Wii and Sunshine on Gamecube. SuperMario64 is the most important when it comes to input lag though.

I understad where you're coming from beileve me, and yes I do hate scalpers too one person wanted to buy 8 copies but we set up a one preorder per person at the gamestop i work at we even gave out a mario hatas a pre order bonus we actually had too many delivered roughly 50 extra so we are selling them at 10 dollars each.
My only issue is that mario 64 has a 4:3 resolution when the other 2 games are 16:9 plus i was kind of hoping they would of added ario galaxy 2 and some mario party games mainly 2 and 1 as i feel just 3 games isnt very much

Sorry for the double post but I just had to add this Nintendo added an anti piracy measure when users use unoffical software aka custom firmware. so it wont work (for now)

No they didn't. It showed up a bug in CFW by using official features that hadn't been used before, but that's fixed now, and the games mostly worked on CFW already.

Also, in case anyone with more knowledge wants to look into it further, I wrote a breakdown of the .har and .hix texture replacement files.
https://pastebin.com/HZtE35zW

It's applicable to both the Sunshine and Galaxy files, as they both run on the Hagi emulator and use the exact same format for texture replacement.

Did you look at the box at all? it clearly says that security measures were added!

Oh wait you must be a pirate so you didn't know that did you?

I've been using the Power A wireless Gamecube controller to play Mario Sunshine. Would be better if Ninty added support for gamecube controllers.

That'd be ludicrous.... Why would a former GameCube exclusive title need to support a Gamecube controller? Blasphemy.. /s

I agree. I'd like to play it with a GC controller over my Pro controller.
