Streets of Rage 4 release date confirmed

Streets of Rage 4 just locked in its release date, and it's not that far off. The old-school beat 'em up will be launching on April 30th, as a digital-only title for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. For those that prefer a physical version, there's one planned for release, thanks to Limited Run Games. You can see some gameplay in the trailer above, which introduces a returning feature from older Streets of Rage entries: a battle mode.

but for real though those graphics look really nice and it looks like this could be a really neat game, hope they deliver on it!

While the game is not out until April 30, there is a day one update available for it on the official PlayStation servers. The download size of this update is a little over 1 GB. Here are the Streets of Rage 4 update 1.01 patch notes which mention some minor improvements to gameplay and audio.

  • Gameplay: Bug fixes.
  • Audio: Global polish of music and sound design.

Meanwhile, since the confirmation of a release date today, the official Nintendo eShop has been updated with the final game size and other information. According to the eShop page for the game, the download size of the full package is around 3.1 GB and it should similar on the PS4. This likely doesn’t include any of the day one updates, but for a digital game, these updates are part of the initial download so it shouldn’t be a problem.

yeeeesssss thank you thank you another dream come true now i have to wait for sonic adventure remake or sonic adventure.........3 im actually was playing SOR1 last night
