Gamecube nkit files work perfectly using nintendont. Wii nkit files don't work with any wii usb loaders yet. But that may change in the future.

Probably won't happen, but would be awesome if Wii Backup Manager eventually supported NKIT and it could convert from nkit to wbfs (perhaps using a 2 step process internally)...
The dude who wrote Wii Backup Manager left the scene nearly a decade ago and without leaving the sourcecode behind. There won't be a new version of that program. The USB loaders aren't the problem, by the way. Wii need a new cIOS that supports NKit. That and a new version of Wii Backup Manager would be awesome, but there isn't anyone in the scene today that is capable of doing either.

To be honest, I'd rather see an update to WIT that fully supports NKIT, instead of adding support for that to a cIOS or to yet another GUI tool...
Is there even a reference implementation in C or C++ yet, or is NKIT still C#-only and one would need to completely rewrite the implementation?
