Quick question (as TX site/documentation doesn’t say either way)...Am I ok to use SX Dumper on my Mariko Switch? What about SX Installer?

I don't see a point why they shouldn't work. These are both Applications which should not be dependent on the Hardware architecture of the unit.

I thought that anything that wrote NAND could brick if not designed for Mariko?

the firmware installer part of sx installer is not compatible on mariko units.
I would sure hope so, since they put their name on it and it's what the average SX user is going to be using.
I agree, however the versions are old and so can’t have been updated to support Mariko (if that’s necessary) and the SX Core manual says nothing about any of their other software. All in all pretty shoddy from TX, IMO, it wouldn’t take much just to confirm one way or another in the docs. I don’t fancy being a guinea pig and running any other software until they confirm it’s ok (or someone else can?).
My interpretation was that tools directly writing things to the system Partition can brick the switch, that it is a hard brick I didn't know. Thanks for clarifying that. So you really need to be more careful than I suggested.
That's totally true. Forgot about that feature.
You're right. Would be much better if they had a better communication. But they never were really transparent about their applications and CFW in the past. In general as SX Installer is a fork of Tinfoil you should also consider not to use any other feature that is already mentioned to brick your switch using tinfoil.
