Clarity on SX-Core OLED

Very quick one: I have a spare, genuine, SX Core. Can I use it in an OLED? Seem to be mixed answers to this.

If yes, is it an identical install to a normal Mariko?

If yes, why are the HWFLY et al. so much more complicated?
