Are you interested in a complete replacement of TwlBg which includes all patches?

To my knowledge you shouldn't leave TwlBg.cxi in /luma/sysmodules/ if you're using TWiLightMenu++'s widescreen switcher.

oh, in the guide it says to move the 1st twlbg to the other folder, then use your patcher again but select one of the options this time, which creates its another twlbg? doesnt say anything bout removing anything the second time

Oh, not sure then, sorry. I haven't tried out TWiLightMenu++'s widescreen switcher, so I sadly can't help more :/

I will fix some quirks related to the new patch menu and the CTR_Redshift configurator, then I'll make a new non-beta release with the """"improved"""" compressor.

enc1 = current compressor, enc2 = "improved" compressor
values say the runtime on old3DS / new3DS repsectively
enc1 = 5m53s / 1m57s
enc2 = 5m10s / 1m43s

As you can see, the new compressor doesn't bring any significant improvement, and it also crashes often, so its presence might be temporary if I get bug reports.

I like these patches and really appreciate your work Sono, good job . Is there any way you could put in a scanline effect? Like a 1x Scanline or 2x. The closest thing to it is the are the debug patches but they're blocky lol

Yeah the fix for that, at least for me is to go into the sysmodules folder and delete TWLbg.cxi and the .bak one. Also, make sure you made an actual widescreen patch and copied it into the twilightmenu TWLbg folder. Also rename it to Widescreen.cxi. After that its just hit and miss when it gives you that error you just gotta go back to the app and press start to generate a new patch each time and hope for the best.

Yes and no. There are not enough pixels in the screen (3DS screen is 1.25x the size of DS, and 1.5x of GBA), but it's possible to make an awful wobble effect which would look horrible and nothing like a scanline effect.

The link on the first page? I just downloaded it with no problems
I'm getting this error

Edit: It seems my PC won't make a secure connection to the site, the link isn't actually dead.

I got a question would it be possible to add a gba frame to the original resolution?!?
Maybe not asking in the right place but that would be very nice to have gba frame like gb/c have ,and that would be very dope if even 3d was possible with the in depth effect(but i know it cant happen).

Has the AGB patch been updated to include an option to swap GBA buttons to Y and B instead of B and A?

That patch the way you described it hasn't thought of yet.
If it were just Y to B then it would work, but the B to A part requires some more work sadly.

This is definitely too difficult to be a patch. This however sounds like a neat-to-have feature for the AGB_FIRM reimplementation.

Ah shit, based on an earlier reply I thought it would have been easier. If possible, an option to bind L2 and R2 to L and R would also be nice, I play with a shoulder button grip, but using R and L with the d-pad always feels really awkward and uncomfortable with it.

You know, I just noticed I failed to notice the "B to A" part in the original question.
I can bind X, Y, L, R, START, SELECT, or DPAD to GBA B, but any other button requires extra patching sadly.

I found that in recent libctru commits, the user can enable 800px mode, which adds 400 more horizontal pixels in the top screen. This works on any 3DS/2DS model, except for the O2DS.
I'm not sure if this has been attempted before, but could 800px mode be added to TWL_FIRM, so that the DS(i) top screen scaling is a bit improved?

Anyone know how to access the redshift menu??? Y+B won't work for me

Try using the link above your post, that should contain it.

MTX supports only up to 512px wide output, so without a proper GPU scaling patch it won't be possible to utilize this feature :/
