I think your USB Stick (this is unfortunately not unusual) is not compatible with the Wii/USBLoader.
You can maybe try to format it with NTFS (or WBFS <- this is NO Solution and not recommended please !!) and try a Wii Game (GameCube Games are not working with NTFS).
Or if you insist of an USB Stick,please try an older Modell (USB 2.0 maybe).
But please note,USB Sticks/Thumb Drives/Flash Drives/Pen Drives are known to not work with USBLoaders.
A HDD (with Power Supply) is the recommended Solution.
