Hi there,

I just hacked my Wii for the first time and it went pretty smoothly! I followed the Complete SG guide and my Wii is version 3.4E.
Only problem is I can't seem to load a game from an external HDD.

I'm on a Mac, if that matters.
I have a WD Elements External HDD of 1TB formatted to FAT32. I checked the list of supported devices and it seems to work with other people.
I transferred the game (a wbfs file) through Witgui and I can see the file on the HDD on my mac. It's in the root folder, is it supposed to be there?
Now when I plug it into my Wii (tried both USB ports) and start up USB Loader GX through the Homebrew Channel, it doesn't list the game. I changed the listing so it shows Wii games, but nothing there. I can see the HDD listed in the settings menu, so I guess that's not the problem?

Maybe it has to do with the partitions on the drive. On my mac I can only see one partition, but in the settings menu of USB Loader GX I can see another partition as well.

Anyway, I hope I'm just making a noob mistake here that's easily fixed. Thanks for any help!

No, it doesn't go in the root.
I think people recommend WiiBaFu (Wii Backup Fusion) for managing games on Mac, try that instead.

I tried the first suggestion by justjack and... it worked! So now I know Witgui is mainly to create .wbfs files from iso's and I have to move them to the correct folder myself.

Thanks for all of your speedy replies!
