The Last of Us Part II delayed "until further notice"

TLOU_P2_Box_Art_2.png

This is, surprisingly, not a late April Fools joke. PlayStation and Naughty Dog have announced that The Last of Us Part II has been delayed, indefinitely. According to the development team, the game is nearly finished, and is in the bugfixing process, but the delay is due to "logistics beyond our control" that prevent the game from having the launch experience that "our players deserve". Iron Man VR has also suffered the same fate, being delayed until further notice. Prior to this announcement, The Last of Us Part II was set to launch May 29th, after other previous delays.

Update: SIE has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.

Well, not the best of news, but all things considered you've got to cut them a little slack - like has been said before, plenty other games to play (and look forward to!) in the meantime.

With every massive pandemic in the past 150 years, there has been a huge leap forward in the electrification of the Earth . In 1918, late fall of 1917, radio waves were introduced around the world. Every time you expose a biological system to a new electromagnetic field, you poison it. You kill some and the rest go in some sort of suspended animation. Interestingly, they live a little longer but they are sicker. And then in World War II, the next pandemic begins with the introduction of radar equipment around the globe, covering the entire globe in radar fields. The first time people have ever been exposed to it. In 1968 there was the Hong Kong flu and it was the first time, the Earth has a protective layer called the Van Ellen Belt that essentially integrates and then divides the cosmic fields of the Sun, Moon, Jupiter and so on to the living creatures of the Earth, where humans placed satellites that emit radio frequencies into the Van Ellen Belt and within 6 months we had another viral pandemic.
Why viral? Because people are poisoned, they excrete toxins, which resemble viruses. People think it's a flu epidemic.
What the flying fuk are you going on about? If the end of World War 3 in 2040 signals a delay in The Last of Us Part 8 then I'll apologize, but until then, what does radio waves have to do with the delay of TLOU2?
(But hey, at least you didn't mention 5G.....)

Wonder if this has anything to do with PS5 now reporting heat issues and may end up in a mini tower as well and possibly being delayed ,odds are against Sony with what is happening in the World

because of course during a pandemic when everyone is forced to be at home, video games would have bad launches because of all the people unable to play video games

like, cinema releases, i get you
but fuckin' video games?
Well, there is a lack of income due to people being laid off or having salary cuts, so...I could see game purchases being of low priority.

To be very honest, I was invested in the first game due to joel. What happened to his daughter reeled me in and ellie was a proxy for his daughter anyways. There really wasn't a need for a second one but since they're making it I will get it. I do think this will be a bit woke for my taste and no doubt we will be lectured on the virtues of female superiority, lesbian strength and ellie will become pregnant (it takes two women to have a child in modern media after all). Just a bit tired of lectures and virtue signalling.

Just my personal opinion no offence (so back off those allergic to different opinions).

Interview with TLU 2 creative director, Neil Druckmann:

“We want to make sure everyone gets to play The Last of Us Part II around the same time, ensuring that we're doing everything possible to preserve the best experience for everyone”, Naughty Dog wrote. “This meant delaying the game until such a time where we can solve these logistic issues.”

“There hasn’t been a final decision yet", Druckmann said. "Right now we’re just reacting to… it’s a different retail chain, whether we could get physical copies to people, is the internet infrastructure there to support all countries…

“This is a worldwide game that people in every country are waiting for and we want to make sure that we’re fair. If we just get [the game] to a small fraction of people, what does it do to all the people who don’t get it?

The creative director continued, “we’re right now looking at all sorts of different options. What’s the best way to get it to all our fans as soon as possible? That’s going to take time for things to shift and to figure things out and also see where the world’s at: things are changing from day-to-day.”
