Hi all,
I have read a lot of thread here and I want to thank all of you for this huge documentation and files about "permanent dongles" aka "modchips" for Switch.

I have decided to install one, but due to the moment I have difficultes to find and buy the chip and I don't have with me my usual iron solder, but one with a bigger tip.
Now I want to run a payload and install an emuMMC on my SD anyway without the chip, but I have a Switch with a non working USB-C (it works only for charging, maybe in the future I will fix it, but not now).

My question is: Is it possible to solder a USB cable to the D+ and D- pins (the ones used by modchips) and connect the cable to the PC to inject the payload with TegraRCM?

If your connector does have no physical damagre, most likely the chip that handles the USB communication is broken.
Connecting D+ and D- would be the same as using a USB-C cable.

I have checked the pins with a multimeter and I can confirm the USB-C is not well soldered. I know that.
My question was if I connect directly a USB-A cable to the D+ and D- and connect to the PC the TegraRCM can work or not.

Anyway, since I don't have reply, I think is better waiting the new iron tip and the Trinket to come :)
