Homebrew Question Datel Powersaves Question

Hello,

I am thinking of buyng the Datel Powersaves for my switch.
I have a few questions.

1/. Will it work on both modified and un modified Switch consoles?
2/. How many times can the power tag be re written over?
3/. Does anyone know if the white base or the black base is newer?

Only "PowerSaves" i can find for the switch is basicly just an Amiibo tag thing, if its like Amiiqo or the like before the switch was released, its rewritable till it straight up dies.

if this is what your actually wanting? then yes you can use it on a normal switch. i have no issues w/ Amiibo tags/cards i write to normal NTAG215 chipped items via Thenya for 3DS on my switch (i've written a few Animal villager Amiibo and various usefull ones for Breath of the Wild. )

as for what one is newer? i cant tell from a quick search, sorry. hopefully that answers atleast part of your question.

Do you know if the powersaves will allow me to add villagers to New Horizons?

so long you write an Villager card /amiibo but you need atleast the town hall i think? before you have the option? though for now i'd wait for updates, theres a known issue when forcing out a villager, that can leave a spot bugged out and unusable.

Thanks mate. Yes my son tells me i need town hall first. So then i can use powersaves and add a villager yes?
Do you use Powersaves or n2 elite?
Trying to decide between the 2.

i just had bought in bulk NTAG215 equipped Cards and wrote to em with my 3DS using Thenya i think the difference is more like i think N2 can hold multiple vs Powersaves one at a time. (dont take me at word, i'd suggest do some searching before ya fire off a purchase.)

downright cheaper option in my opinion? NTAG215 Cards Thenya Homebrew *IF* you have a CFW'd N3DS (granted the cards are one-time writes but thier Amiibo data works the same way as any other amiibo and can be written to till its teeeeeny lil flash storage burns out) upside? if yoru talented you can make your own Card-art or if you have a special PVC Card printer, you can print physically onto the card.

((who knows oneday we may have similar options for modded switches to write amiibos the same way,))
