Hey guys, I want to use Pokemon Bank to transfer my Pokemon from my older games but it's saying it requires a system update. I'm currently running Sys 11.2.0-35E with the latest version of Luma installed (10.0.1). Am I safe to update my system software or are there any issues/disadvantages to updating? Or ideally, is there a way to update Pokemon Bank without updating my FW? Cheers

Sorry but that doesn't answer my question
Indeed. "11.13.0-45 is latest" Correct piece of information… but not really helpful at this point.

In case a new update comes out, it is a good idea to wait some days. This way you can see if there are some complaints in the forum (and if CFW might need an update like in the case of Luma v9.0 and older being incompatible with 11.8 and newer).

Other than that: Updating is with Luma3DS is save and since 11.13 came December 2019 and there was not a single problem reported on this version with Luma v9.1 and v10.0.1: Go ahead and update your official firmware. It's actually the other way round: Not updating the console limits your possibilities (newer games incompatible, no online functions unless using outdated methods of spoofing)

I hope it’s ok if I “hijack” this thread as I have a similar question, so save having multiple threads asking same/similar questions.
My New 3DS XL is on a slightly newer FW(11.4.37) but older Luma3D version(8.1) to the ops, so if I upgrade the FW to the latest am I going to need to upgrade Luma3D as well? To upgrade the
Luma do I need to do it manually or will the Luma updates work? I recall that certain version of the updated stopped working, not sure if the version I have needs to be updated.
I updated my 2DS back when 11.8 came out so have Luma 9.1 on it but didn’t update the N3DSXL

Thanks - is there anything that will break in the process? Any other preparation I should do? For example I should uninstall FreeShop beforehand right?

Why do you still have freeShop? It’s been dead for eons now, please uninstall it.
As for this thread, it is safe to update both the latest OFW. I can confirm that my systems have not been banned since updating them.

I’ve already updated the hack from al9h to b9s ages ago.
