Hello.

I need help finding reference photos of one very specific subject.
I need buildings, town or city streets if possible, preferably colorful (but block colors, not murals or patterned tiles or graffiti), but )and this is the difficult part) with sharp shadows across them.

It can be shadows of other buildings, or of the roof, terraces and balconies on the building, etc, but solid, sharp, contrasting shadows. This is so specific it's hard to even find examples to show, and I lack the English skills or the Google-fu to find them on my own.
Think something like this photo but with more color and a little more sunlit areas. See the streaks of sunlight across the facades.

Help?

Thank you.

Thank you for the suggestions, but that's not what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for building fronts, whole buildings (or streets of buildings), not details zoomed in into abstraction.
They need to be in color. And for some reason when you say "shadow" or "contrast" every search engine starts returning almost exclusively black and white photos.

Let me look somewhere else... I recently did some thins involving buildings, let me see if I can find the link.

Damn... See... Talenthouse recently did a contest with different locations and they made "mood boards" for inspiration with lots of buildings.
Now they deleted those boards from their pinterest account.
But you can take a look and check if you can find anything helpful:

Dutch, Danish, Brazilian, Thai, and Cape town colourful buildings nets me a few examples in each case, and if you are willing to cheat a bit (which is to say spend 30 seconds with the burn tool set to shadow) you can get a few more still.
Aye, there's the rub. If I'm drawing shadows myself, it kind of defeats the purpose of a reference photo.

Thank you for the suggestions, I was able to find a few suitable ones (not in the articles, but by googling the names of the places, and then, as you said, riding the scroll wheel).

The problem with my request is that photographers try to avoid shadows as much as possible when taking pictures of colorful things, and on the other hand "shadow" or "contrast" equals "black and white" for some reason.

I was not thinking drawing as much as accentuating existing ones.

But yeah avoid cast shadows does seem to be something of a mantra when also doing a search there.
