I took my SD out (after turning the system off) to edit a save file. But when I put the SD back in and started my 3DS back up, all my custom themes were gone and all my folders are empty. Now everything I have downloaded on my SD card is now wrapped like I just downloaded them and are just scattered randomly across my home menu. I've taken my SD card out of my 3DS numerous times and this has never happened before. Is there any to get my old home menu layout and all my custom themes back?

ah, I didn't know that. the only app that came to mind to make a fake ticket was tikdevil. I thought it might be associated with freeshop, but I wasn't sure. I've never had to use a program like that, because I backup everything after each install. too many things are lost among users who don't back things up.

Ya, TIKdevil was an amazing app at the peak of homebrew CDN downloaders. It was the only one of its kind back then when someone bricked their 3DS, restored a nand backup, and didn't have a previously set of dumped tickets to reinstall in FBI. The reason it doesn't work in this day and age is due to how it recreated those fake eShop tickets using the encTitleKey.bin from that title site, and when that site was taken offline it had no way to call and retrieve those title keys in remaking those tickets.

The aftermath of the CDN server lockdown was a really dark period in terms of Nintendo 3DS folder recovery. Like, it sucked so bad that this what people had to resort to in regenerating their lost tickets.
Luckily, thank goodness for ol' @ihaveamac coming in and saving the day with that lifesaver app.
