Hacking Ez Flash Junior lists a folder as a file?

I'am on the newest kernel and Firmware.

In the root of my sd card are 3 folders: SAVER, GBC (for gbc roms) and GB (for normal gb roms). The GBC folder holds 19 sub-folders and the GB folder is holding 24 sub-folders. In these folders are the roms, no folder holds more than 95 files.

The GBC folder is shown as a folder, i can open it and access the 19 sub-folders. The GB folder is shown as a file with O KB in size, when i try to open it, i get an error message.

Has anyone a similar problem?

the readme.txt in the kernel zip or red text on download page said, the total files in a root folder are not more than 100.

please read the readme file again carefully.

someone will say other flash card have not such restriction.

yes. they do not sort the files, but we have, that why we limit the files in a folder, because we need load all the files in a folder and sort them in ram when you open it, too many files will blow up the 8kb ram of gameboy.

Sorry, but I have read that exactly. And... In my root folder are only 3 folders and one file. And no folder or subfolder on my sd card holds more that 100 files. But i got more than 32 folders/subfolders in total on the sd card.

It seems, that what you write on your page, is wrong formulated...

"The items in the root folder no more than 32(include the kernel file and saver folder). The total files in each folder from the root folder no more than 100."

I starting to guess, that it actuall means, that more than 32 folders in total, are not possible. I'll test it as soon as i can.

PS.: I'am using an 4GB Transcend microSD card.

I've just deleted many subfolders, so that the total number of folders and subfolders on the card is 29. The number of folders in the root is still 3 and of course the ezgb.dat file. And no folder/subfolder on the card holds more that 100 files. Still the same problem.

But i have to admit, that i've tested this only with the Transcend sd card mentioned above in combination with a Backlit modded GBA Advance. So maybe this problem concerns only me.

Just wanted to know, if anyone else have this issue too.

yes，the total files in a folder which in the root no more than 100, it counts the all files in the subfolders.

for example: you have a folder named gbc in root, total files in all your subfolders which in this gbc folder must no more than 100.

in a single sentence for easy understand: do not use subfolder nest. move them to root.

btw: the very long filename which contains symbols like
parentheses, exclamation mark, minus may cause a file system error too.

all of these inconvenient are the cost for support Chinese font. after all we are a Chinese team, please try to adapt to it for now, or wait the future update.
