So i have been testing this card with a few games and so far all the ones i tested run without issues ( very clean and nice)
I haven't tested any cheats because well there are no cheat option as far as i know ( or was told) but since the firmware can be updated maybe it will support it in the feature. Card is just drag and drop for game files i only created folders to make it more organized

This card lies somewhat in the same ''playing'' field like el cheapo, however this card claims to support bigger game sizes and save sizes than BOTH the everdrive and el cheapos ( 1.9) card.
El cheapo does NOT ( at least the version i have: 1.9) have RTC function, the everdrive from krikzz does . Also 64 megabits is the same as 8 megabyte for game size , please do not confuse this as a higher game size as it has the same game size claim as the everdrive.

If cheats are essential to you it doesn't appear the JR supports them now BUT that may change later on

The games i tested so far :
Donkey Kong land
Battle arena toshiden
Zelda Links awakening DX
Pokemon Crystal ( kind of mandatory for RTC function and it does seem to work)

Homebrew:
ucity
tobu tobu girl DX
flappy bird

All ran without issues, each game booted/loaded instantly without any wait

The transparent shell pictured here is NOT for sale ( or the one that will be distributed)
When and if you buy your unit , your shell would look more ''frosty'' color like the one on the official page ( link below)

http://www.ezflash.cn/product/ez-flash-junior/

The menu is quite simplistic : saves, games, a section to set time and a help section ( that gives a link to ezflash website) , since no cheats so probably nothing more needed?
The battery is replaceable so that's good if you can't or don't want to solder , kind of the same as the omega if you own one

The sd card slot has a spring mechanism just like el cheapos and krikzz everdrive
My personal stance on the spring mechanism is i don't like them on any cards, but since you don't really take these out i suppose it doesn't really matter.
I would have preferred if this card had no spring like the ez flash omega, if you cut your nails short its kind of hard to take out the sd card.

Unfortunately i don't have a backlit gameboy or gameboy color, or even a backlit gameboy advance. I do however have a gb colour ( kong feng version) and unfortunately the Jr did not work on that unit even running off the power adapter ( card gets a memory read error). El cheapo's card works on my gb colour and even the everdrive clone, however the everdrive clone i own is a pile of garbage because it freezes randomly sometimes and once my rechargeable batteries go under 75% it turns off.

I tested the card in a non backlit gba and gameboy advance sp, and works on both without issues.

I dropped my non backlit game boy advance unit while i was running some games and i thought it had damaged the save or the card but as soon as i turned it back on it started creating some sort of save of my last game play so it seemed it did not corrupt anything.

The only game i played for an extended period of time ( 1.5 hrs) was Pokemon crystal to test to any issues and RTC and during that time frame i encountered no issues at all ... the game ran flawless.
It would be nice if this card added cheat features in the feature if possible

Ill test some other things in the next couple of days as time allows ( and edit post) .

So far i feel this card is better than el cheapos , and if cheats are added in the feature seems like it can potentially be as good as the official everdrive.
I am a little disappointed that it didn't work with my gb colour though but then again most other gb flashcarts have issues with it.

Just also recently tested this on a SNES super gameboy , the card works but its finicky.
My snes ( north american version) and supergameboy is over 2 decades old so not sure if that has anything to do with it but i tried an original gameboy game and it worked instantly on that while i had to fiddle with the ez flash cartridge.

When i power on the ez flash card on the super gameboy for the snes system it would just get a pure black screen. Sometimes it would get random scan lines and then sometimes it would just say supergameboy with a black screen. What seem to solve most of the issue was as soon as i would flip the ''power'' switch up on the snes i would press the reset button on the ez flash jr card ( middle section) and this prompted the card to boot into the menu and commence to work.

I tried to replicate the above issue 5 times and it would work 70% of the time, and when it did work the games played fine ( at least the 3 i tried; donkey kong land, battle arena toshiden, tobu tobu girl ).
I also forgot the super gameboy did not play GBC games , i was wondering why i got messages to use a GBC system but then i remember the super game boy player only plays gameboy games.

Feel free to ask or request anything to test and i will give it a try

I need to know if it works on Super Game Boy. Otherwise I won't buy it.
I will try it tomorrow when if i get a chance

Also the ezflash website doesn't really indicate how the ''fast reset menu'' works.
Normally similar carts have a combination that you press ( ex. L+R+ select at the same time) to launch back to the carts main menu, this one however has a neat little button internally.
You simply press down or apply a bit of pressure where the ez flash jr sticker is at and the cart does back to main menu

If this works on a SNES gameboy player i think it may also work on the gamecube gameboy player which i will gladly test if i can find my disc/attachment.
The problem with the gamecube gameboy player is that the game slot is not elevated and if you place the gamecube on a table you would have to position it where the gamecube is at least a bit leaned over the table to be able to press the reset button on the bottom . The SNES gameboy player is standing up so i don't see this problem for it, but then again this is IF the cart works on these devices

I believe Super game Boy enhancements don't work on the gamecube's Game Boy Player either. That's what I really want to know, if gmaes like Donkey Kong '94 have their full palette when played on the SGB. If it did on this flashcart that'd be amazing

Ezflash said that this flashcart supports GB and GBC, but in fact it doesn't work on GBC ?

El cheapo does NOT ( at least the version i have: 1.9) have RTC function, the everdrive from krikzz does but ez flash jrs maximum game size and save size is higher than both.
I wonder what they mean by that. I just tried Densha De Go 2 on my Everdrive X7, the only 64 MBit GBC game I remembered out of the top of my head, and it works perfectly fine. For save size, I think this is mainly important for LSDJ, isn't it? And as far as I know there aren't any issues with that with the Everdrive or El Cheapo, either.

Could you ask your contact to specify that?

He seems to be talking about a 'kong feng' version, which is a GBC clone.

Why have 3 GBC flashcards without having an original GBC?

Personally i think $50 is ok for this card, it doesn't seem to too expensive for something that has an RTC function and also runs games pretty solid ( at least the ones i currently tested)

What device are most of you going to play it in , a backlit original game boy color?

Also I did have an original backlit gameboy color and my plan was to test it on it but either i sold it at some point or its buried in one of my bins along with other electronics

Zfreeman- Seems to work but video quality is bad , maybe due to the converter used? If its stretched its even worse

by the way the white screen and bit of pause is because of the video file , the games don't actually take that long to load

here a new brand of KongFeng has came out(I don't know when), which uses RGB screen instead of the pentiel one. And it's said that the new one can use ezjr with no problem.

Thanks a lot, just an original Gameboy console, and today I'm luckily to receive the tracking number from my Seller, just can't wait to get it.

See first post for pictures

Works but need to fiddle a bit

Tested a full run of battle arena toshiden and i was able to complete the whole game without any issues while using the ez flash jr on the super gameboy .

So if it only works when it loads to menu, does that mean the colors it loads are just generic colors? Like I couldn't load the Donkey Kong '94 rom and get the special color palette or border I take it?

So far it doesn't just like you can load other colors because the ez flash jr card only starts working when it boots into its the main menu
The supergameboy has problems reading it sometimes though , but like i said once it does read it the games play fine.

If i find it does work loading other colors i will post it here

I couldn't get clarification regarding the save size but i haven't really seen anything with that large of a save size even home brew there is really nothing that high

Also 64 megabits is the same as 8 megaBYTES , just different wording ( marketing probably) which is the same claim as everdrive.
El cheapo appears to be limited to 4 mb game size
This actually confused me as well until i noticed BITS vs BYTES.

How can one tell the difference between the old and new version? Markings?

Because the vendors selling the ones online at the moment may have old stock so unless someone can tell by a specific mark that it would have a RGB screen then its a gamble

Sorry, I don't know about that...Only know that some of the vendors on Taobao are selling the new one.
