you may have to seek out an iso of the game, then extract the files from it with exiso. this is under the assumption that something is wrong with the dump. I'm not sure about freezing, but there are at least two options in dashlaunch that relate to what to do if a game is corrupted. I think one is to power off the system; while the other is to give you a "fatal crash intercepted" error. the latter imo is the better choice.
