Bought a switch dirt cheap from a mate of mine because it has the 2162-0002 error, didn't really do much research into it before hand thinking it would be an easy fix as apparantly it was a bug that was fixed in 9.0.0?

My original plan was to boot it with Hekate and then re-install the firmware offline using choijodour and hopefully fix it, however it's also a patched switch XAJ4. I have had a look around online but there hasn't really been any mention of it in forums or reddit since about January this year. Was any progress ever made to resolve this bug or is the console pretty much a fancy doorstop?

Is there any way I can take the nand module out and flash it using my RCM switch or is there a protection layer on the nand that would prevent that? As always any advice is appreciated

Small note: managed to just get past the inital launch screen, it was crashing with the error every single time the keyboard popped up for input entry, however i removed the joycons and turned them off so the switch was in tablet only mode and I have now managed to get to the home screen

Update 2: I managed to successfully get it connected to my wifi at home and i've updated to 9.0.0, it still has the problem so it's maybe more hardware than software
