So, a few days ago i updated my clean sysnand officially to 9.0, effectively burning fuses.
Despite that, I still could launch 8.1 normally, just with the game card reader issue.
I have now updated my emunand to 9.0 using choidujour, so my question is, can i downgrade to 8.1 safely? because even with burnt fuses i could still boot 8.1 normally

So it sounds like you had 8.1 emuMMC with 9.0 sysMMC. The reason it worked is because launching with hekate (or whatever your prefered bootloader is to load cfw and emuMMC) bypasses fuse checks. However, if you downgrade sysMMC you won't be able to boot without hekate because the fuse check is still there, it's just that hekate basically ignores them

I'll leave sysnand clean and stuff, so it is safe to downgrade emummc? that's what you're saying?
if so, amazing, that's so cool
